A Nigerian man identified as Joshua has sparked discussion online after stating the minimum income a woman must earn before he can consider dating her.
The media personality shared his thoughts on his X handle, formerly known as Twitter, @JJExclusive1, explaining his perspective on financial expectations in relationships.
Minimum Monthly Income: N500k
Joshua revealed that he has a strict income requirement when it comes to choosing a partner.
According to him, he cannot date a woman who earns below N500,000 monthly.
He said: “I can’t date a girl that doesn’t earn minimum N500k a month…”
I Don’t Need Her Money
Josha clarified that his stance is not motivated by financial dependence. He emphasized that he does not need a partner’s income for his upkeep.
He wrote: “…not like I need your money…”
Financial Independence
Joshua further explained that his preference is rooted in financial independence. He stated that he wants a partner who earns well enough to comfortably take care of her own needs without relying on him.
