Popular American streamer and internet personality, Kai Cenat, has continued his engagements in Lagos with a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina.
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, formed part of Cenat’s second trip to Nigeria, a return that has drawn renewed attention from fans and observers of the global streaming space.
Courtesy visit confirmed by Lagos govt
Confirmation of the meeting came from the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril A. Gawat, who shared details of the interaction via a post on X.
He explained that the visit provided an opportunity for Cenat to exchange views with the governor about his time in the state and his broader interests.
“Kai Cenat is in Lagos to follow up on some projects and initiatives he plans to execute for kids and young people in Lagos State, Nigeria,” Gawat said.
Streamer’s itinerary remains unclear
While the visit has generated interest online, Lagos State Government officials did not disclose further information regarding Cenat’s schedule or the specific initiatives being discussed.
Cenat, one of the most-followed streamers worldwide, commands a massive audience across platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, where his content resonates strongly with young people.
His visit follows closely on the heels of another high-profile trip by American streamer IShowSpeed, whose recent tour of Lagos attracted large crowds and viral moments, underscoring Nigeria’s rising visibility within global digital and creator culture.
