Ejuke’s impact from the bench

Introduced at the start of the second half in place of Miguel Ángel Sierra, Ejuke wasted no time dismantling the hosts’ defense.

Showing great composure, the Nigerian international latched onto an assist from Isaac Romero in the 50th minute and executed a delicate chip over Spain international goalkeeper Unai Simón to double Sevilla’s advantage.

Sevilla secures the points

The quick second-half goal crushed any hopes of a comeback for the hosts. Isaac Romero added a third for Sevilla just seven minutes later.

Although Athletic Club reduced the deficit through Aitor Paredes in the 70th minute, Ejuke’s decisive performance ensured Sevilla comfortably sealed the 3-1 win.
