Nigerian singer B-Red, son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has claimed that his father and other members of the Adeleke family are not involved in politics for financial gain.

Speaking during an interview on the Echo Room podcast, B-Red said his family already has generational wealth and therefore has no need to rely on political positions for money.

He claimed that his father and other members of the family ventured into politics primarily to help people.

B-Red also expressed confidence that Nigeria would experience significant development if his father eventually became president.

He said …

“If my dad, Governor Ademola Adeleke, becomes the President of Nigeria, things will improve drastically. We don’t need politics for money; we have been rich for a long time. My family is only in politics to help. But I don’t want my dad to be President because the pressure will be too much.”

Watch him speak below …

The Adeleke family has produced two governors and senators, including the late Isiaka Adeleke and the incumbent Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.

Several members of the family are also involved in the governor’s administration, while Afrobeats star Davido, another member of the family, has publicly supported his uncle and his political activities.
